Short answer
Yes. The assistant is designed to work with your chart and database locally. It uses tools to pull market context, price series, patterns, notes, and trade plans when needed. You can also use @-mentions in the chat composer to explicitly attach ticker context (e.g. market phase or OHLC snippets) to a single message.
Tools vs @ mentions
| Approach | What it does |
|---|---|
| Tools | The assistant calls built-in tools (e.g. snapshot, market context, patterns) using the symbol and timeframe from your chart and your stored data—no need to paste prices manually. |
| @ mentions | Optional: you pre-select what to bundle (e.g. a ticker’s phase or OHLC) so that exact context is included in that message. |

Context is assembled in the app for the model you configured; VaultCharts does not operate a cloud copy of your chats. See How does the AI chat work? and Is VaultCharts private?.
