From idea to trade: Planned → Open → Closed
VaultCharts trade plans are a lightweight kanban for discretionary technical trading. Nothing places broker orders — this is analysis and process on your laptop.
Board states
- Planned — Idea is written: thesis, entry, stop, targets, size, invalidation.
- Open — Criteria met; you manage against the plan.
- Closed — Done. Score actual R and journal one lesson.
Exact flow
1. Idea (chart)
Spot structure: auto pattern, S&D zone, BOS/FVG, or a manual drawing. Grade it A / B / C.
2. Planned (write before you click)
Use the trade plan checklist. If you cannot fill stop + invalidation, it is not Planned — it is a wish.
3. Open (only on trigger)
Move to Open when your entry rule fires — not because price “looks close.” Manage with the rules you wrote (scale, BE, time stop).
4. Closed (review)
Run the post-trade review and note planned vs actual R.
